My recommendation for a student: start with Cloudflare Pages for free, and only buy Namecheap/Hostinger when you specifically need PHP, MySQL, cPanel, email hosting, or some other traditional shared-hosting feature.

If you're trying to learn backend development, though, I'd actually recommend a different setup than shared hosting—you can get a surprisingly capable development environment for $0 and learn much more than you would with cPanel.

If you're a student experimenting with websites, I’d actually avoid paying for shared hosting unless you specifically need PHP/MySQL/cPanel. There are excellent free options.

If you're learning to code:

You can realistically spend $0 on hosting while experimenting. Once you need something like a PHP backend or MySQL database, move to Namecheap Stellar or another inexpensive shared host.
