What I would not do

If you're primarily an ecommerce operator, I wouldn't start with something like:

GoDaddy domain → separate hosting → WordPress → WooCommerce → SSL → plugins → payment gateway

It can be excellent, but you're now responsible for maintaining several moving pieces. A managed platform is considerably easier.
